According to Jupiter Research more and more companies are jumping on the blog wagon. 35% of large sized companies plan to start blogs this year, and with about a third of large companies already blogging that means nearly 70% of large compaines currently have blogs. The report also mentions that blogs are under-used for marketing purposes…

Came across this recent post on one of my favorite blogs this morning. The story is fascinating and, although I haven’t been following the whole TrafficPower.com debate, raises some interesting issues about corporate liability for blog content. Take a read then wander on over to this article from Reuters.
And, if you’re blogging for business, it might be time to re-evaluate your strategy for moderating comments.

For those of you who are celebrating the absence of marketing in your favourite blogs, hold on to those champagne glasses! Sony Pictures created a series of custom Spiderman 2 templates for users of both Blogger and LiveJournal - 2 of the more popular blogging tools available. Also available, Spiderman 2 backgrounds and animated icons.
While you mourn the loss of innocence, think of the implications of blogs as branding for your business. Blog templates could become the new screensaver - offer website visitors custom blogging templates that contain links back to your website or online store. While you’re at it - why not tie the whole thing in with your affiliate program to encourage downloads?
